Summer Fetes in North Bristol

For a fantastic community event, bringing together villages, schools and sports teams there can be no better day out than a summer fete. We’ve picked out a few coming up in our local area…

Patchway

Not content with a one day fayre, the community in Patchway organises a two week festival each year! Running from Saturday, July 8, this year has an aeronautical theme. One of the opening events of the festival is the Community Fair, in Scott Park, with the Festival Parade, live music, dancing, refreshments and fairground rides. Other key events include are the flower show, prize quiz evening and a memorial cricket match.

Coniston Family Fun Day is taking place on Wednesday, July 19, from 3pm – 5pm.
There will be BBQ, face painting, balloon modelling, Tombola, book sale, stalls and much more! The event is being held at Coniston Community Centre, The Parade, Patchway.

Stoke Gifford & Little Stoke

Stoke Gifford held its Village Fete early in the season as the community came together on Monday, May 29 – we hope all who went along had a good time!

Little Stoke Primary will be holding its Summer Fair on Friday, July 7, with St Michael’s Primary is holding its on Saturday, July 1.

Bradley Stoke

Bradley Stoke hosted its popular Community Festival from June 9-11.

However, Wheatfield Primary School will be holding its Summer Fair on Saturday, June 17.

Winterbourne

Winterbourne’s Medieval Barn hosted a Medieval Fayre on Sunday, June. If you live locally then pop along to Elm Park Primary School on Saturday, July 1, for its Summer Fair.

Almondsbury

Almondsbury Vicarage Garden is holding its summer garden party on Sunday, July 2. Spend a summer afternoon enjoying cream teas and a BBQ whilst browsing the stalls and listening to the live jazz band. All proceeds from the party will go to charity.

Meanwhile, Almondsbury Primary is holding its summer fair on Saturday, June 24 with this year’s theme being ‘traditional country fair’.

If you are planning a community event this summer, let us know the details and we’ll do our best to publish the information on The Interchange in the coming months.
