Check out our What’s On guide of things happening in North Bristol this bank holiday…
Another bank holiday weekend is on the horizon and this one comes with the bonus of half term following on from it. Many of you may be planning a trip away but if you’re staying closer to home, we’ve had a look at some of the events happening near us in the next few weeks.
Bristol Walk Fest
We’re into the last few days of Bristol Walk Fest but there’s still time to get your walking boots on and join in. Most of the events in our immediate area have already happened but there are still some city centre walks you can join such as the John Cabot walk on Monday, May 28th.
Jazz at Winterbourne Barn
Tickets are still available for Jazz in The Barn performed by the UWE Big Band at Winterbourne Medieval Barn on Saturday, May 26th. It’ll be a musical treat with cool, relaxing swing and Latin classics accompanied by silky smooth vocals. Delicious, locally sourced food and drink will be available throughout the evening.
Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children.
Stoke Gifford Fete
For some traditional bank holiday fun, head to Trust Grounds, North Road in Stoke Gifford on Monday, May 28th from 2pm to 5pm for the Stoke Gifford fete. There’ll be a dog show, stalls, archery, food & drink and bouncy castles.
Three Brooks Nature Reserve Bee Walk
Experienced bee and invertebrate expert Hayley Herridge will lead this Bee Walk through the reserve on Tuesday, May 29th so you can learn about the amazing insect life that surrounds us. Meet at Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre at 6pm.
If you’re feeling hungry this bank holiday weekend, head to Ashton Gate for Bristol VegFest. There’ll be food and drink stalls, live music and a programme of speakers if you’re interested in plant based eating. It’s on Saturday, May 26th & Sunday, May 27th starting from 11am on Saturday.
Whatever you get up to this weekend, we hope the sun keeps shining and you have a great time.
